Fifty Shades of Grey. All the rage (at least among a certain subset of the population) a year or two ago. Now an upcoming movie trilogy. To me, it’s the new Bridget Jones or Sex and the City. I made a point to go to the theaters to watch other movies when they came out just so I could watch the looks of anguish and despair of the guys that were in line with their significant others. OK, kind of mean, but oh so funny. Of course a couple of years later my buddy Pat and I lost a bet and had to watch Sex and the City 2, which was absolutely the worst movie I’d ever seen…and I’ve seen some horrible movies. I’ve seen the trailer for the Fifty Shades and it looks overdramatic and tedious at the same time…not a great combination.
Anyways, I ran across Antonio Toscano’s brilliant Lego-ized version of the trailer and I realized this was pretty much the only way a guy will watch Fifty Shades of Grey. I can only imagine how much work goes into these adaptations but they are brilliant!
This is Toscano’s latest Lego-style trailer (check the rest out, they’re great) and it is a hilarious shot-for-shot re-imagining of the trailer. Except, where the official trailer is boring, Antonio’s version is exceedingly entertaining.
Here it is, check it out in all it’s Lego glory. Oh be sure to watch the side-by-side comparison video to see how accurate the adaptation is.
